I was surprised, then, when I was introduced to\u00a0gugak<\/em>, Korean traditional music, since much of that music seemed to share the same sound world as the Blues.\u00a0Won’t Do Wrong No More<\/em>\u00a0makes its Blues roots clear from the outset, with the\u00a0piri<\/em>\u00a0imitating the sound of a blues singer’s raspy voice. As the piece goes, it moves in and out of blues landscapes, occasionally returning to the opening theme.<\/p>\n
