This movement, accompanied by animation by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lauriesumiye.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laurie Sumiye<\/a>, <span class=\"gmail_default\">highlights\u00a0<\/span>extant Hawaiian forest birds<span class=\"gmail_default\">: those native birds living in the islands that can still be saved<\/span>.\u00a0<span class=\"gmail_default\">As the various birds make preparations for a\u00a0<\/span>baby\u00a0\u02bbelepaio&#8217;s first birthday party,<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0<\/span>11 different bird songs are imitated by various instruments in the ensemble.
