Seul Gi Lee, a gayageum soloist I’ve worked with many times now, has recently released a new CD titled Beyond the Gayageum. The album includes a new version of a piece she commissioned from me in 2012, Singing Through the Endless Night (동짓달 기나긴 밤을). This version adds double bass to the original version scored for gayageum and string quartet, and was premiered in 2020.
